Join us for a special woodwind quintet concert made just for kids ages 0 to 102! We’ll play songs for “everyone,” from gentle lullabies for the littlest listeners to lively tunes for bigger kids, so families can enjoy music together. Our friendly musicians will introduce each piece with a short, fun story so children can follow along and feel included.

During the concert we’ll showcase the different sounds and ranges of our instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn. You’ll hear the bright, sparkling notes of the flute, the warm low tones of the bassoon, the smooth middle voice of the clarinet, the reedy sing-song of the oboe, and the rich, round sound of the horn. We’ll demonstrate how each instrument makes its unique voice and play short examples so kids can hear high, middle, and low notes.

After the performance, join our instrument petting zoo where children can get up close to and see and hear the instruments. Our musicians will be happy to answer questions and help little ones explore how these instruments work. It’s a playful, welcoming event perfect for curious young listeners and their families.
