Quintet Athens will be presenting Symphonic Story Time: Stories by Classic CIty Kids which is the culmination of a youth story writing challenge hosted by the Quintet for elementary school students ages K-5 featuring 10 original stories written by kids from in and around the Classic City. Stories will be set to original compositions in partnership with Athens area composers.

Our fall recital featuring the inspiring work of Gustav Holst’s “The Planets” takes us on a cosmic journey arranged especially for wind quintet in a special premier recital. Originally scored for symphonic orchestra this seven movement work has been re-imagined in the chamber music sphere.

Come share in the wonder as we drift into the cosmos to discover “The Planets” in a new light.
